Our take
The Cashback Match is the real draw: whatever you earn in year one, Discover doubles it at the end of the year, with no sign-up. The catch is that 5% only lands on the rotating quarterly categories you activated. If you never activate them, you have a flat 1% card.

Our take
Twenty-one months without interest is the longest window on this list, and there is no annual fee to offset it. What you give up is rewards: the card earns nothing back. It is a debt tool, not a spending tool, and it only pays off if you clear the balance before the intro period ends.

Our take
This is the card for people who have already been denied. No credit pull, an 89% approval rate reported by the issuer, and monthly reporting to all three bureaus, which is what actually moves a score. The $35 fee is real and there are no rewards, so the plan is to use it 12 to 18 months, build the history, then move to a no-fee card and get the deposit back.
