The same window covers new purchases, not just transfers
No annual fee
Cell phone protection is unusual on a no-fee card
What to watch
5% transfer fee, higher than the 3% some competitors charge
Transfers after day 120 don't get the intro rate
No rewards and no welcome bonus
You can't move a balance from another Wells Fargo account
The detailed review
This is a single-purpose card and it's honest about it. You get 21 months from account opening with no interest on purchases and on qualifying transfers, then the rate steps up to 17.49%, 23.99% or 28.24% depending on your credit. There is no cash back, no points and no sign-up bonus to distract from the math.
The math is what matters. Move US$6,000 and the 5% fee adds US$300 to the balance, so you start at US$6,300. Paying US$300 a month clears it inside the window and costs you nothing in interest. Leave that same US$6,000 on a card at 22% and a year of small payments costs you well over a thousand dollars.
Two rules trip people up. The transfer has to post within 120 days of opening to get the intro rate, and the intro period runs from account opening, not from the transfer date. Every month you wait is a month of the window spent. Once the balance is gone the card has little reason to stay in your wallet, though it costs nothing to keep open.

How it compares
Rates and fees from each issuer's terms, checked 08/27/2026.
Where this card earns its keep
Almost two years without interest is the entire product, and few issuers go longer. For someone carrying four or five figures at north of 20%, that window is worth more than any rewards rate on the market.
The purchase window too
Plenty of transfer cards give a long 0% on the transfer and a short one on purchases. Here both run 21 months, which helps if a big expense is coming.
Phone protection
Up to US$600 against damage or theft when you pay your phone bill with the card, with a US$25 deductible. Small, but rare at no annual fee.
Where it falls short
The 5% transfer fee is the real cost, and it's higher than the 3% intro fee some competitors run. On a small balance that fee can outweigh the extra months, so do the arithmetic before you assume the longest window is the cheapest.
After the balance is cleared there's nothing here. No rewards, no bonus, nothing to earn. Treat it as a tool you use and then put away.
Should you get it?
Get it if you have a balance you can realistically clear in under 21 months and your credit is good enough to qualify. Skip it if you pay in full every month, because you'd be holding a card that earns nothing.
5% on rotating quarterly categories, first-year Cashback Match, and a shorter 0% window at 15 months.
